Chief Secretary (10 Posts)
Gwanda State University is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Chief Secretary (10 posts) in the Registrar’s Department. Qualifications and Experience
-
A minimum of a National Diploma in Secretarial Studies (HEXCO).

At least five (5) Ordinary Level passes, including English Language.

A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a similar role.

Key Competencies and Attributes

Computer literacy is a must.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong organisational abilities.

Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters professionally.

Exceptional attention to detail, including proofreading skills and maintaining high levels of accuracy.

Mature, self-driven individuals who can work under pressure with minimal supervision.

Proficiency in English is essential.
Duties and Responsibilities
-
Managing the Supervisor’s diary and scheduling appointments.
-
Coordinating bookings and making travel or meeting arrangements.
-
Typing, filing, and maintaining accurate records.
-
Handling incoming and outgoing telephone calls.
-
Receiving documents for meetings and preparing relevant files.
-
Organising venues for meetings and related logistics.
-
Sorting and managing mail.
-
Taking minutes during meetings.
-
Photocopying and printing office documents.
-
Performing any other duties as assigned from time to time.
