Highlanders FC Star Prince Ndlovu Back on Orlando Pirates’ Radar After Failed European Move
Soweto giants Orlando Pirates are reportedly reigniting their interest in 17-year-old Highlanders FC winger Prince Ndlovu, over a year after the player first trained with the club in 2023.
The young Zimbabwean star, who was just 16 at the time of his trial with Pirates, had attracted international attention and was preparing for a European move.
However, that deal fell through, and he remained with Bulawayo-based Highlanders FC.

Impressive Progress Sparks Renewed Interest
According to sources close to the Buccaneers, Pirates scouts have continued tracking Ndlovu’s development since his initial stint in South Africa.
“He trained with Pirates in March 2023 and at that time he was only 16 years old. He was preparing to go to Europe, but things didn’t work out. Since then, Pirates have been monitoring him. They are impressed by how he’s grown at Highlanders FC,” a source told Soccer Laduma.

COSAFA Cup to Offer Crucial Scouting Opportunity
Adding to the excitement, Ndlovu has been called up to the Zimbabwe national team for the upcoming COSAFA Cup in South Africa. This tournament is expected to serve as a final audition of sorts for the young winger.
“Pirates will have the chance to continue monitoring him during the COSAFA Cup. Scouts and recruiters are happy with what they’ve seen, and this will allow them to observe him closely before making a decision,” another insider told the Siya crew.
