SNV Zimbabwe is inviting applications from qualified individuals to serve as In-Field Training Support Consultants for the implementation of Phase II of the Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship (YEE) Project. This initiative is supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Embassy of Sweden, and targets out-of-school youth aged 18 to 35 with the goal of enhancing livelihoods through employment and entrepreneurship opportunities in the agri-food, renewable energy, and emerging sectors.

Role Summary

SNV is recruiting six locally based consultants to be deployed to selected districts. These consultants will work closely with Local Service Providers (LSPs), many of whom are new and community-based, to support the roll-out of the YEE Phase II project. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Mobilizing youth and raising project awareness at the district level

  • Identifying opportunities and coordinating technical and soft skills training

  • Providing mentorship and coaching to youth participants

  • Supporting documentation, coordination, and reporting

  • Ensuring smooth collaboration with community actors and local government structures

Required Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in agriculture, development studies, youth development, entrepreneurship, or a related field

  • At least 3 years of experience in youth-focused or community development projects, preferably in rural settings

  • Familiarity or residence in the target district is highly desirable

  • Strong facilitation, coordination, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Fluency in English and relevant local languages

  • Access to transportation (a motorbike license is an added advantage)
