Pieterse has made a statement regarding how the allegations affected his life:
“It is life-changing — all aspects of my life have been affected. My education, career, physical health, and even my family have suffered. The school is still taking precautions, so I haven’t resumed my duties,” Pieterse told Kaya News outside the police station on Friday

Forensic Evidence Clears Accused
Law enforcement officials confirmed in March 2025 that exhaustive DNA analysis failed to connect any external biological material to the seven-year-old complainant. These findings effectively exonerated the implicated individuals after months of intense public scrutiny.
The initial claims triggered widespread demonstrations across the country, with protesters demanding accountability for the alleged assault. The emotionally charged situation saw citizens mobilizing with signage calling for justice, prior to the revelation of the investigation’s conclusive results.
