Zimbos in Awe as George Charamba Unveils Stellar Cambridge A-Level Results

Zimbabweans on X (formerly Twitter) were left impressed when George Charamba, the Deputy Chief Secretary in the Office of the President and Cabinet (Presidential Communications), shared his Cambridge Advanced Level certificate.

Charamba proudly revealed his A-Level certificate from 1981, boasting an outstanding 14 points. He achieved an A in English and History, and a B in Shona.

George Charamba, who is a Chevening Scholar, humorously recounted his experience while enrolling at the University of Zimbabwe. He shared his struggles with the university’s online application system, jokingly mentioning the requirement to provide his Ordinary Level results.

“had an amusing last week; so, here I was trying to do some little course with the University of Zimbabwe. I am on UZ’s EMHARE online registration system to get that done. EMHARE asks for my O-LEVEL GRADES. Sensing most applicants are likely to disregard that requirement, some evil genius in the UZ Registrar Department ensures a registrant is stopped in his tracks until that section is fully filled. Of course I am one such anticipated miscreant; I did my O-Levels in Rhodesia, far back in 1979. Some 45-years later, I don’t even remember my grades, let alone locate that damn O-Level papery thing,” he wrote on X.

Fortunately, Charamba managed to retrieve his A-Level certificate, which he shared a picture of alongside his post. He emphasised the importance of keeping one’s results safe as one will never know when they will need them.

“The amusing thing is I did two degrees with UZ; they still want me to prove I passed O-Level once upon a time!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣Guys, don’t lose your O-Level Certificate(s); you are as good as it!!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣,” -Charamba concluded his lengthy post.

Zimbabweans were awestruck upon seeing Charamba’s A-level results, and they flooded the comments section with praise. Here are some of the comments:
