Blessed Geza and Terrence Mukupe Replaced as ZANU-PF Restructures Central Committee in Mash West
ZANU-PF in Mashonaland West has made important changes by replacing two Central Committee members as part of a wider effort to strengthen party discipline and ensure effective representation.
Blessed Geza and Terrence Mukupe were both removed from their positions. Geza was expelled for breaking party rules, while Mukupe, who once served as Deputy Finance Minister, is currently serving a three-year jail term for fuel smuggling.
Mary Mliswa-Chikoka, the provincial chairperson, confirmed the shake-up, explaining that the new appointments aim to maintain strong and credible leadership within the party’s top decision-making body.

To fill Mukupe’s seat, war veteran Joseph Serima was elected unopposed in Hurungwe. Meanwhile, Sanyati legislator Honourable Polite Kambamura was chosen to replace Geza in Kadoma.
Mliswa-Chikoka also said the party is preparing to hold an election for the Central Committee seat representing Makonde District. This vacancy opened after Kindness Paradza was appointed as a Commissioner at the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC).
Party Focuses on Structure and Mobilisation
She emphasised the importance of these changes:
“These changes are in line with our constitutional mandate to ensure all districts remain fully represented in the Central Committee, particularly as we enter a new phase of policy implementation and grassroots mobilisation.”
This restructuring reflects ZANU-PF’s ongoing push to tighten its internal structures and enforce discipline. The party is aligning its leadership with strategic goals ahead of future national programmes, aiming to consolidate its power at both provincial and district levels.
