From Pole to Pew: Former Stripper Finds Solace In Church After Marrying A Pastor

A former stripper Vimbai ‘Chocolate’ Muzuva, has traded the neon lights of the club for the solemnity of the church after marrying a pastor. The entertainer, who once commanded attention on stages across the country and beyond, has undergone a profound metamorphosis, emerging as a born-again Christian.

Sources close to the situation reveal that she has severed ties with her past life, changing her contact details and purging her social media of its former content, and is now understood to be married to a pastor.

Her dramatic shift has left many in the entertainment industry astonished, yet those who knew her best are hailing it as a miracle. The dancer is now reportedly only contactable through a private Facebook profile under her birth name, Vimbai Muzuva, where she regularly shares passages from the Bible. The move appears to be a concerted effort to build a new life far removed from the world of adult entertainment that once defined her.

Her former manager, Sherpard ‘Sherpy Taz’ Tsandukwa, who maintains a line of communication with the new Vimbai, confirmed the extraordinary turnaround. He expressed immense relief that the woman he once managed has found solace in faith after a fierce and very public battle with addiction.

“I am glad that Chocolate, whom I once managed, has turned to God after winning her battle against drug abuse,” Tsandukwa stated. “Many people in strip clubs knew her as that talented dancer who turned heads on the club scene by providing adult entertainment, but now she is a changed person.”

Reflecting on their professional history, which included a six-month tour of China, Tsandukwa acknowledged a rocky patch that even led to legal troubles.

“At one point, she had me arrested when she accused me of stealing her money but I was acquitted after she failed to provide proof,” he recounted. However, he chooses to focus on her recovery, revealing, “I had her checked into rehab and I am glad that she is now a new person who is focusing on God’s ministry as well as selling her beauty products in Glen View, where she runs a stall.”

The president of the Dancers Association of Zimbabwe (DAZ), Harpers Mapimhidze, also voiced his support for Chocolate’s new direction. He painted a stark picture of her condition before her conversion, highlighting how far she has come.

“I am one of the people who celebrated when I heard that Chocolate had turned to God,” Mapimhidze said. “Earlier this year, I could not engage her for a meaningful conversation because she had become a slave to drugs. She appeared to have lost her senses, behaving erratically and being violent.”

He confirmed that the dancer has taken drastic steps to protect her newfound peace.

“Chocolate has since changed her numbers, and I understand that her new partner, who also leads the same church, doesn’t want her to talk with old friends to ensure she doesn’t revert to her old ways, which is good for her.” This strategic seclusion, while controversial to some, is seen by those in her circle as a necessary measure to safeguard a hard-won redemption, proving that it is indeed never too late for a second act.
