‘Players don’t respect the badge’: Oscar Mbo Tears Into Kaizer Chiefs Players After Sekhukhune Defeat
Music star Oscar Mbo has publicly criticised Kaizer Chiefs players, accusing them of showing little passion or accountability.
This comes after their 3-1 loss to Sekhukhune United.
Taking to social media, the outspoken DJ who is a diehard Kaizer Chiefs supporter argued that the club’s problems go beyond coaching.
“Our players don’t respect the badge, we need to be honest…Clearly this is not a coaching issue, but the non-willingness of players,” Oscar Mbo said.

Specific Players Put on Blast
Mbo did not hold back, singling out several players for underwhelming performances. He directed strong criticism at defender Reeve Frosler, blaming his defensive lapse during the match.
“Frosler, I’m disappointed in you. You had one job… but no, you were casual, as usual.”
He also expressed frustration with midfielder Gastón Sirino, who has struggled to live up to expectations since joining the club.
“Sirino, you cost us the match… you’ve been the same since arrival, always promising but not being that No 10 we need.”
Message to Youngster Shabalala
Even academy graduate Mduduzi Shabalala was not spared. Mbo urged the youngster to focus on his football and rediscover the qualities that earned him promotion.
“Mdu, please get rid of that hairstyle and remember why you were promoted… Today wasn’t your best and we can’t have this with no accountability.”

The backlash comes amid growing tension around Chiefs’ ongoing struggles. While some supporters have pointed fingers at head coach Nasreddine Nabi, Mbo insists the issue lies with player mentality.
“It’s not the coach. It’s the attitude on the pitch.”
