Zimbabwe cricket fans are set for a treat as the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) arrives next week for a historic tour — the club’s first in the modern era.
The 13-man squad, captained by Glamorgan batter Will Smale, will tour from 6 to 15 October, playing a mix of T20s, a 50-over match, and a rare three-day first-class game.

High-Profile Squad Set to Impress
The MCC squad combines youth and experience, with Essex wicketkeeper Simon Fernandes, Kent leg-spinner Mo Rizvi, Scotland international Jasper Davidson, and left-arm pacer Joseph Davies all earning selection.
The team also features Sam Arthurton, Daniel da Costa, Alistair Frost, Michael Frost, Darren Ironside, Billy Mead, Ben Allison, and Matt Wareing.
Owen Dawkins, formerly of the MCC Young Cricketers programme and now with Gloucestershire, will manage the tour, while former England bowler Martin Saggers has been appointed as the MCC umpire.
Key Matches to Watch
The tour kicks off in Kwekwe with two T20s against Rhinos, followed by a 50-over encounter the next day. The highlight is the three-day clash with Zimbabwe A at Old Hararians Sports Club from 10 to 12 October.
The MCC will close the tour with three T20 matches against the Zimbabwe Academy at Takashinga Cricket Club on 14 and 15 October.
Excitement Builds Across Zimbabwe
Cricket enthusiasts are buzzing with anticipation as the MCC brings high-quality international talent to Zimbabwe.
The mix of formats, coupled with the rare three-day first-class match, promises an exciting showcase of emerging and established players alike.

@Artful Ceasar;
Good for the game
@Graeme Nish;
Great that they are coming here but a pity there is no game in masvingo which would have given them an opportunity to visit the monument; do a lake cruise and see rhino in the national park.
@Disruptorz Cricket;
