Here’s Why Munetsi, Billiat, and Musona Are Missing from Warriors Squad
Zimbabwe fans will have to watch the upcoming friendlies against Algeria and Qatar without vice-captain Marshall Munetsi, star winger Khama Billiat, and experienced forward Knowledge Musona.
The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has clarified the reasons behind the absence of the trio from the squad.

Marshall Munetsi Excused Due to Club Transition
ZIFA revealed that Munetsi was excused at the request of his English Premier League club, Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The decision comes amid a coaching change at Wolves, who recently dismissed head coach Vítor Pereira. Rob Edwards is expected to take over, with U21 coach James Collins currently serving as interim manager.
Khama Billiat Absent for Personal Reasons
Billiat, one of Zimbabwe’s most experienced attacking options, was left out of the squad “for personal reasons,” ZIFA confirmed.
No further details were provided regarding his absence, leaving fans to speculate on the nature of his unavailability.
Knowledge Musona Ruled Out With Injury
Adding to the Warriors’ challenges, Knowledge Musona will miss both matches after sustaining a hamstring injury.
The absence of the three players leaves a significant gap in Zimbabwe’s lineup ahead of the friendlies against Algeria on 13 November in Saudi Arabia and Qatar a few days later.
