Bulawayo Food Outlet Temporarily Closed After Customer Dies on Premises

A Bulawayo food outlet was temporarily shut on Monday morning following the sudden death of a customer while waiting for his food order.

Authorities are yet to confirm the identity and age of the man who collapsed inside the premises.

Customer Collapses While Waiting for Order

According to eyewitnesses, the customer was sitting at the outlet when he suddenly slumped. Employees were alerted after another patron noticed that he was motionless and sitting in an awkward position. Emergency services were contacted, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police Respond, Scene Secured

When The Chronicle arrived at the scene, detectives from the Criminal Investigations Department’s Homicide division had reportedly concluded their initial assessment. The body remained inside the outlet as of 9:45 AM, while other patrons continued to be served through the main entrance.
