Scottland Football Club has officially parted ways with head coach Tonderai Ndiraya, ending a successful but short-lived tenure that delivered a historic Premier Soccer League title.

His departure has already ignited widespread speculation among fans, many of whom believe Norman Mapeza may be the favourite to take over the reins.

Scottland Confirms Ndiraya’s Exit

In a statement released on Wednesday, 26 November, the club announced that both parties had mutually agreed not to renew Ndiraya’s contract, which expired at the end of the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season.

Scottland expressed gratitude for his “commitment, professionalism and service,” noting that he led the club to a historic title in their debut PSL season, securing a CAF Champions League berth.

“Scottland Football Club wishes to confirm that the club and head coach, Tonderai Ndiraya, have reached a mutual agreement not to renew his contract, which concludes at the end of this season.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation for his commitment, professionalism and service during his time with the club.

His contribution and dedication to the team have been highly valued, and we extend our gratitude for the role he has played in the growth and development of our players.

He led Scottland to a historic league title on the debut Premier Soccer League season, earning us a ticket into the CAF Champions League.

We wish him great success in his future endeavours, and we are confident that he will continue to excel in his coaching career,” read the statement.

Ndiraya joined Scottland after guiding Simba Bhora to their first-ever league title in 2024, taking over from Genesis Mangombe, who had earlier secured promotion from the ZIFA Northern Region Soccer League.

Supporters Tip Norman Mapeza for the Job

Following the announcement, social media was immediately flooded with speculation about who would take over the vacant position.
