CAPS United have made a strong early statement in the league. They remain the only team with a perfect record after two rounds.
The Harare giants opened with two straight victories. First, they beat newly promoted Agama FC 2-1. Then, they edged Herentals FC 1-0 in a tight contest.
As a result, they sit alone at the top of the table. They have six points from two matches so far.
Strong Response After Difficult Season
The team showed improvement after battling relegation last season. Now, they appear more confident and organised on the pitch.
Their early form signals renewed momentum this campaign. Therefore, they aim to re-establish themselves among top contenders.
However, the league remains unpredictable every season. So, sustaining this form will be the real challenge ahead.
Chasing Pack Keeps Pressure On
Meanwhile, several teams are closely behind the leaders. Chicken Inn FC, Dynamos FC, and Ngezi Platinum Stars have four points. Hardrock FC and Simba Bhora FC also sit on four points.
Further down, FC Platinum, Bulawayo Chiefs, and ZPC Kariba have three points. They occupy positions seven to nine on the table.
Highlanders FC, Scottland FC, MWOS FC, and FC Hunters each have two points. TelOne FC and Herentals have one point each.
Meanwhile, Agama FC, Manica Diamonds FC, and Triangle United have no points yet. As the season continues, attention shifts to CAPS United’s consistency. Their ability to maintain momentum will define their campaign.
