Two Bindura Men Sent To Prison After A Cellphone Dispute Turns Violent
A Bindura cellphone dispute ended with two men being jailed after they allegedly stormed a Chipadze home in the early hours of 28 July 2026, assaulted occupants and forced them into humiliating sexual acts while demanding a phone.
The case was heard at the Bindura Magistrates’ Court, with the details also reported by 3-Mob.

The incident reportedly began on 27 July when one of the men visited a house along Sojin Street to collect a cellphone he had left charging there.
He later returned demanding the same phone and threatened revenge after a dispute broke out.
At around 3am the following day, he and his accomplice encountered a sex worker and persuaded her to accompany them to the house. They allegedly instructed her to knock and pretend she was alone.
After gaining entry, the first offender demanded the cellphone. When an occupant said he did not have it, the court heard that the man attacked him with a chain wrapped around his fist.

Victims Forced Into Sexual Acts
The court heard that the occupants were ordered to remove their clothes. One male victim was allegedly assaulted with a pot before being forced to perform sexual acts with a female victim.
Other occupants were reportedly subjected to similar coercion. One man was allegedly beaten with a wire after he could not comply.
Bindura Duo Handed Prison Terms
The first offender received 24 months, with six months suspended, leaving 18 months effective imprisonment.
His accomplice was sentenced to 15 months, with five suspended, leaving 10 months behind bars.
The NPAZ urged people to resolve disputes through lawful channels.
