Residents of Chitungwiza now have more time to benefit from a 30% rates discount. The Municipality extended the promotion deadline to 30 April 2026. Officials announced this update in a public notice on 2 April 2026.
Acting Town Clerk Japson Nemuseso explained the decision clearly. He said strong participation influenced the extension. Additionally, many residents requested another opportunity after missing the initial deadline.
Payment Points and Convenience
Residents can pay their rates at several municipal offices. These include Head Office, Seke South, Seke North, Zengeza, and St Mary’s. Furthermore, Head Office and Seke North will open on Saturdays. They will operate from 8 am to 12 noon. This schedule supports residents who cannot visit during weekdays.
Flexible Payment Options Available
The council introduced multiple payment methods to simplify transactions. Residents can pay through FBC Bank. They can also use mobile money platforms.
OneMoney payments require Biller Code 186566. EcoCash payments use Biller Code 44997.
“Chitungwiza Municipality encourages all ratepayers to settle their bills timeously to support enhanced and sustainable service delivery,” said Nemuseso.
