Dynamos FC Fined US$5K, PSL Awards Match to FC Platinum After Abandonment

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) Disciplinary Committee has handed down heavy fines to Dynamos Football Club and its head coach, Saul Chaminuka.

The disciplinary action follows the abandonment of their June 22 match against FC Platinum at Mandava Stadium.

Dynamos was found guilty of causing the premature end of the clash and has been fined US$5 000. The result has been officially awarded to FC Platinum as a 3–0 walkover.

In addition, Dynamos head coach Saul Chaminuka was personally fined US$4 000 and banned from the technical bench for the club’s next two matches.

“Consequently, the club has been fined a sum of US$5 000 and the match was awarded to FC Platinum on a three nil score line. Furthermore, Dynamos head coach Saul Chaminuka was also held responsible for his conduct during the match. He has been fined US$4 000 and banned from occupying the technical bench for the club’s next two matches,” read a statement from the PSL.

Chicken Inn Fined After Chaos at Rufaro Stadium

Chicken Inn FC also came under fire for the abandonment of their match against Scottland FC at Rufaro Stadium on May 23, 2025. The PSL found the club and its player, George Majika, guilty of misconduct during the fixture.

As a result, Chicken Inn was fined US$5 000, and the match was awarded to Scottland FC by a 3–0 scoreline.

“Chicken Inn FC and their player, George Majika, were found guilty following the abandonment of their match against Scottland FC… The club was fined US$5 000, with the match awarded to Scottland FC on a 3-nil scoreline.”
