Dynamos crash out of Munhumutapa Challenge Cup as Hardrock, Herentals reach Round of 16

Dynamos suffered a shock early exit from the Munhumutapa Challenge Cup after losing 1-0 to Hwange.

The Glamour Boys entered the competition in the Round of 32 after receiving a bye.

However, Hwange had already battled through the earlier stages of the inaugural tournament.

The Colliery Stadium clash remained tight before Morestaff Ncube finally broke the deadlock.

Ncube struck just before halftime, firing home from the edge of the penalty area.

His goal proved decisive as Hwange held on to secure a place in the Round of 16.

Hardrock stun Kwekwe United

Meanwhile, Hardrock also advanced after claiming a narrow victory over local rivals Kwekwe United.

The Chahwanda Stadium encounter needed only 20 seconds to produce its decisive moment.

Neliswa Dlamini quickly found the net and gave Hardrock an early advantage.

Kwekwe United could not find an equaliser despite attempting to respond throughout the contest.

Elsewhere, Herentals defeated MWOS 1-0 to continue their cup campaign.

Bulawayo Chiefs also progressed after recording a similar 1-0 victory against Agama.

Jordan FC survive penalty shootout

Jordan FC secured their Round of 16 ticket after overcoming Gwanda Pirates on penalties.

Neither side managed to score during normal time at the end of a tense encounter.

Jordan FC eventually prevailed 3-1 in the shootout to complete their progression.

The results produced several closely contested matches across the Round of 32.
