Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa Speaks Out On Her Divorce Journey From Black Coffee

Actress and businesswoman Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa has confirmed that her divorce from internationally acclaimed DJ Black Coffee is now legally complete.

Penning a lengthy and emotional post, Mlotshwa shared her profound sense of relief and transformation after a gruelling legal process. She began,

“Today, with great emotion, I write this. I am officially Miss Mlotshwa. I’m so grateful for this ugly journey that gave me so many lessons. Today, God has laid a table for me in the presence of my enemies.”

Enhle Mbali Thanks Her Fierce Legal Team

Central to her message was an outpouring of gratitude for the formidable legal team that stood by her side. She credited them not only with guiding her through the complex litigation but also with helping her rediscover her own inner strength. She wrote,

“I am so thankful to the people you see in this image. These lawyers, advocates and senior attorneys have pushed me and reminded me of the greatness I had in me, reminded me how important it was to fight, most importantly for my children and more so for the rights of women in South Africa.”

She paid special tribute to Jerry Nkeli, who became a paternal figure during the ordeal.

“Thank you to Jerry Nkeli who is now my father since my father is no more. This man fought for me as if I was his blood daughter and I will forever be grateful, I will never forget,” Mlotshwa stated.

She also hailed the women in her legal circle, mentioning a ‘Sis Ntombi’ who witnessed her evolution “from a timid girl who was fearful to a woman ready to fight for what was right,” and Tebogo, whom she called her “new little sister,” praising her intellect and humility.

The Unseen Pillars of Strength

Beyond the courtroom, Mlotshwa acknowledged the intimate circle of family and friends who provided a bedrock of emotional support during her darkest hours. She offered a heartfelt thank you to her mother and her sister, whom she said attended court with her despite recovering from an operation, “holding my hand when I was holding back tears.”

She also shone a light on her close friends, the ones who provided strength away from the public eye.

“To my girls who kept me strong behind the scenes through prayer nights and late-night calls – I’m grateful to have true friends I can trust with my life,” she shared. Concluding her spiritual thanks, she added, “Thank you God, thank you Jesus, for making me strong. Thank you to my angels and ancestors.”

She revealed,

“I’m proud of how I handled my marriage. I never cheated in my marriage, not once, till the day I decided to leave because I could no longer take the punishment to myself.”

She identified a specific, devastating boundary that was crossed as the ultimate deal-breaker. Mlotshwa explained,

“My non-negotiable was children in a marriage. Once there were two children by two different women, I said ‘you don’t love me. In fact, you’re going to kill me’.
