Fans Criticize Zimbabwe’s Squad Selection for Pakistan Tri-Series

Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) has announced a 15-man squad for the upcoming T20 international triangular series in Pakistan, featuring hosts Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

The tournament forms part of Zimbabwe’s preparation for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup set for next year. However, the squad announcement has sparked debate among fans, who believe some deserving players were left out.

Captain Sikandar Raza will once again lead the squad, which maintains a balance of experienced names and emerging talents.

The only change from the side that faced Afghanistan at home is the absence of pace spearhead Blessing Muzarabani. He has been sidelined with a back injury. Rising bowler Newman Nyamhuri has been drafted in as his replacement.

Fixture Schedule

Zimbabwe will kick off their campaign against Pakistan on 17 November in Rawalpindi. The team will face Sri Lanka at the same venue on 19 November.

The squad will then move to Lahore for the remaining round-robin matches, where they play Pakistan again on 23 November and Sri Lanka on 25 November.

The top two teams will meet in the final scheduled for 29 November in Lahore.
