Strong European Interest in Young Chiefs Star
Rea, who has been honing his talent in the Kaizer Chiefs youth ranks, is among a select group of South African youngsters currently being scouted by major European clubs through the efforts of Rojo Soccer Agency.
Speaking exclusively to Soccer Laduma, Jorge Abong, a representative from the agency, confirmed that Rea’s recent trial performances caught the attention of Italian scouts.
“We have organised trials for Rea Mosimane (Kaizer Chiefs U14). Last month he did well and the club is interested in signing him,” said Abong.

AS Roma Signs 9-Year-Old Ikenna Tladi
Rea’s potential move comes shortly after nine-year-old Gauteng-born midfielder Ikenna Tladi officially signed with AS Roma’s development academy.
According to Abong, Tladi traveled to Italy with his mother to finalise the deal after impressing European scouts during their visit to South Africa.
“Ikenna Tladi has officially signed for AS Roma… The scouts from Europe were here and they were impressed with Tladi before he travelled to Italy… He is now an AS Roma player,” Abong confirmed.
More Young South Africans to Follow
Abong also revealed that SuperSport United’s Shamir Mattera has been invited to join an Italian club’s pre-season later this month, and hinted that more young South African talents could soon be making the move to Europe.
“These are not the only three players who will be going to Italy. We are working on other players as well. Once everything is sorted out, we will let you know. But there is great potential of young players moving to Europe,” he said.
