Hardrock FC and CAPS United produced a thrilling 3-3 draw in their Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Matchday 21 clash on Sunday at Chahwanda Stadium.
Both teams handed debuts to several mid-season arrivals. Goalkeeper Washington Arubi started for CAPS United. Meanwhile, Prince Dube, Gerald Takwara and Wilfred Madzungu featured for Hardrock.
Madzungu enjoyed a memorable first appearance. The substitute struck twice within five minutes during the second half to rescue a valuable point.
Hardrock opened the scoring in the 16th minute through Washington Navaya. However, CAPS United responded strongly with goals from Kudzai Chigwida, Obriel Chirinda and Chris Mugalu.
Mugalu also celebrated his return from injury with a goal. He had missed the entire first half of the season.
As a result, both sides dropped more points in the title race. Consequently, Scottland strengthened their lead after winning on Saturday.
Dynamos Shine While Bosso Settle for Draw
Dynamos bounced back in style with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Agama at Rufaro Stadium.
Isaac Landu opened the scoring before Abel Gwatidzo added another. Frank Agyemang then completed the rout with a second-half brace.
The victory also marked a successful start for new head coach Aristica Cioaba. The club officially unveiled him on Friday.
Elsewhere, Highlanders shared the points with Simba Bhora after a 1-1 draw at Barbourfields Stadium.
Blessed Ndereki fired Simba Bhora ahead before Royn Nyamono levelled for Bosso.
