Several Highlanders FC Fans Feared Dead In Mbalabala Road Crash
A night of football ended in tragedy after a vehicle carrying Highlanders supporters was involved in a road accident along the Bulawayo-Gwanda Highway on Sunday night.
The supporters were travelling back after watching Highlanders play Herentals in a league match.
Several Highlanders FC supporters are feared dead.
Sources said the vehicle carrying the supporters crashed near Mbalabala as they made their way back from the match.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear. Authorities have also not yet released the number of people involved or confirmed casualties.

Highlanders Still Reeling From July Tragedy
The latest incident has raised fresh concerns within the Highlanders family.
It comes just weeks after the club lost four members in a separate road accident along the Harare-Bulawayo Highway.
Highlanders chairman Retired Colonel Kenneth Mhlophe, vice-chairman Sifiso Siziba and finance executive Nkani Khoza died in that crash.
Supporter Mbalenhle Sibanda also lost her life in the accident.
The tragedy sent shockwaves through the club and its supporters, with Highlanders mourning the loss of key members of its family.

Separate Fatal Crash Claims Three
Meanwhile, police have confirmed another fatal road accident on the Mutare-Masvingo Road.
The crash happened at the 285-kilometre peg on August 22 at around 5.40pm.
Police said a Nissan March carrying eight passengers was travelling towards Mutare when the driver allegedly lost control.
The vehicle reportedly veered off the road, struck a tree and overturned once.
Three passengers died at the scene.
Six other people, including the driver, were injured and taken for medical treatment.
Police said the bodies of the deceased were taken to Masvingo Provincial Hospital for postmortem examinations.
Authorities are continuing investigations into both incidents, while further details on the Mbalabala crash are expected as information becomes available.
