Socialite Hillary Makaya has announced that her marriage to businessman Andrew Manongore has been over for months.
In a composed statement shared on her social media platforms, Makaya confirmed that her marriage had come to an end but insisted there was no drama involved.
“Setting the record straight with a hint of grace,” she began. “To those aware that my marriage to my ex-husband ended, I’m sure you’ll note the lack of drama is intentional.”
Makaya added that some matters are best settled with dignity.
“Let’s just say some allegations are better addressed with a simple statement – my integrity remains intact, despite the end of a marriage,” she said.

Addressing circulating claims that she had stolen US$1 million, Makaya was unequivocal in her denial.
“Regarding the allegations of theft, I’d like to clarify that the claims of stolen money are entirely baseless and false. No US$1 million was stolen! And no one was ever on the run regarding this matter,” she said.
She went on to describe the reports as “serious defamatory allegations spreading across the country to assassinate my character and tarnish my brand.”
Makaya concluded her statement by reaffirming her reputation.
“My integrity speaks for itself, and I’m confident that those who know me will attest to my honesty and character,” she said.
Her response comes amid a wave of speculation following her recent high-profile appearances with international celebrities, sparking gossip about her personal life and marriage status.
