Kelvin Momo to Make Bulawayo Debut This Heroes Day Weekend

AmaPiano lovers in Bulawayo have a date to remember, 11 August 2025, when South Africa’s award-winning DJ and producer Kelvin Momo lands in the City of Kings for his first-ever local performance.

He will take over the decks at Cosmopolitan VIP Club during the Heroes Day weekend, a perfect moment for music lovers to unite and celebrate in style.

Speaking to B-Metro, Momo said finally performing in Bulawayo is a dream come true. He’s been eager to connect with his fans outside South Africa and promises a night worth remembering.

“I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to finally be visiting Bulawayo. It’s always been a dream of mine to connect with my fans outside of South Africa, and I’m ready to make this night unforgettable,” said Momo.

The gig is expected to draw the city’s trendsetters, with the DJ’s signature “Private School AmaPiano” sound — a smooth blend of Afro-house beats and melodic rhythms — setting the mood for an electrifying night.

He explained that his goal is to create an atmosphere that goes beyond borders, especially fitting for Heroes Day celebrations. Music, he said, is a universal language that can bring people together.

“Most of my fans know my style of music. On my set, I want to create an atmosphere that transcends borders because music is universal. I understand it will be Heroes Day on that side, and I am even happier to be part of these crucial celebrations for Africa,” said Momo.

The weekend’s party doesn’t stop there. Before Momo’s main event, another South African talent, DJ Tease, will warm up the city at the Garden of House gig on August 10 at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair.

Momo said performing alongside DJ Tease makes the weekend even more special, praising their friendship and musical chemistry. He promised the pair would “bring the house down” together.
