Masasi High Video Latest: School Boys Denied Bail, Face Three Serious Charges After Gory Details Revealed In Court

Two teenage boys from Masasi High School have been denied bail and are facing three serious charges. This follows the emergence of gory details in court about an alleged sexual attack on a teenage schoolmate. The pair appeared at Mutare Magistrates’ Court, where prosecutors outlined a shocking case from February this year, alleging the victim’s drink was spiked before the assault, which was captured on a video that later went viral.

The two boys appeared before regional magistrate Phathekile Msipa on Monday. Prosecutor Last Goredema opposed bail, citing the seriousness of the offence and the significant public outcry that followed the video’s appearance online. The court remanded the accused in custody until their next hearing on October 14. It is important to highlight that one of the minors is 17 years old, not 16 as was initially reported in some accounts.

The Alleged Spiked Drink And Assault In The Bush

The court heard that the incident took place on February 8. According to the prosecution, the two accused and the 17-year-old complainant were walking home from school around 4 pm.

Prosecutor Last Goredema told the court:

“Along the way, they gave the complainant a drink which later intoxicated her.”

The prosecution alleges the drink was spiked, leaving the girl heavily intoxicated and motionless. The two boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons due to their status as minors, then allegedly dragged the complainant to a secluded place in the forest.

Gory Details And The Disturbing Video Revealed

The court was presented with disturbing details of the alleged assault. Prosecutor Goredema described how the two accused took turns sexually abusing the girl while she was incapacitated.

He revealed to the court:

“The two took turns to sexually abuse the girl who was motionless due to intoxication, resulting in the survivor defecating on the spot.”

Further horrifying details emerged about a video of the incident. The court heard that one of the minors, the 16-year-old, recorded the assault. In the footage, the juveniles were reportedly praising themselves as “Mauto” (soldiers) while committing the acts.

How The Video Was Leaked And The Charges They Face

The case came to light after the video of the attack surfaced on social media, sparking national outrage and leading to the boys’ arrest on Sunday. The court learned that one of the accused boys shared the video clip with a friend, who later leaked it.

According to the Hmetro, this friend later leaked it months later, leading to its widespread circulation online. The two boys from Chief Marange’s area face three charges: rape, aggravated indecent assault, and indecent assault.
