3 Arrested In Masvingo Murder Case
A 19-year-old and a 20-year-old are among 3 people arrested in connection with a murder case in Masvingo, with police continuing investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) identified the suspects as Elikias Elikane Madobi, 19, Joseph Mutsikwa, 20, and Taona Nerupiri.
The arrests were made on 12 September 2026 after police received information concerning the case.
According to the ZRP, the investigation followed the discovery of the body of Alen Njena near Madzivadondo Business Centre.
Police said Njena had suffered a stab wound to the chest.
“The arrests followed the discovery of the body of Alen Njena (20), who was found lying at the scene with a stab wound to the chest.”
Okapi Knife Recovered At Scene
An Okapi knife was also recovered beside the body, according to police.
The ZRP announced the arrests on 14 September 2026 but did not provide further details about what allegedly led to the fatal stabbing or the circumstances involving the 3 suspects.
Investigations into the case are continuing.
The arrests do not, on their own, establish guilt, and the suspects remain entitled to due process as the matter progresses.
