Munhumutapa Challenge Cup: Round of 32 lineup confirmed after qualifying stage

The 2026 Munhumutapa Challenge Cup Round of 32 is now complete after the preliminary qualifying rounds ended over the weekend.

Fourteen lower-tier clubs secured their places after winning their final qualification matches on Saturday and Sunday.

Premier Soccer League clubs enter the competition

The 14 qualifiers will now face tougher opposition in the Round of 32.

They will join the 18 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League clubs already waiting in the competition.

  • Highlanders

Knockout battle intensifies

The Munhumutapa Challenge Cup will continue with a straight knockout format.

Every match before the final will be decided over a single leg.

As a result, teams will have no second chances once the Round of 32 begins.

Meanwhile, the tournament draw is expected soon.

It will determine the Round of 32 fixtures between Premier Soccer League sides and the lower-tier qualifiers.

The winning team will eventually lift the inaugural Munhumutapa Challenge Cup trophy, adding another chapter to Zimbabwean football history.
