The incident unfolded in broad daylight on Saturday, February 7, 2026, and involved a violent attack on an employee before the suspects fled with thousands of dollars and rands.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed the arrests on February 8, 2026, saying officers intercepted the suspects at a roadblock in Avondale after a tip-off from members of the public.

One Suspect Still On The Run

Police say investigations are continuing as officers try to track down the third suspect and recover the remaining cash.
