Scottland FC Raises Player Bonus to US$10,000 Each

Scottland FC owner Scott Sakupwanya has increased the team’s bonus incentive. Each player will now receive US$10,000 if the club finishes the first half on top.

Previously, Sakupwanya had pledged US$5,000 to every player. However, he decided to double the reward following the team’s strong performances.

Speaking on the club’s latest podcast, he confirmed the increased bonus.

“I had promised them US$5,000 but I have since put it up to US$10,000,” Sakupwanya said.

Club Boss Targets Local Talent Retention

Sakupwanya said the players deserve greater support for their efforts. He also stressed the need to keep talented footballers in Zimbabwe.

“They are working, they need to feed their families.

“We don’t want them to go to South Africa. They must stay in Zimbabwe.

“My goal is to bring all the good players who are out of the country to return home and play in Zimbabwe. I’m already working around looking for sponsors.”

Meanwhile, Scottland remain focused on their title defence campaign. The team continues to lead the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League standings.

Mabviravira retained first place after the completion of Matchday 19.
