Silent Killer Denied UK Entry After Forgetting Zimbabwe Return Date
Zimdancehall star Silent Killer has once again missed a United Kingdom performance, this time after being denied entry for failing to answer basic immigration questions. The artist reportedly could not remember the date of his return to Zimbabwe, leaving fans disappointed.
Denied At The Border
According to a statement issued by Prince Nathan Entertainment Ltd. on 20 September 2025, Silent Killer was scheduled to perform at the TURNUP event alongside Poptain and Jnr Spragga, who was making his UK debut.
The promoters said in their announcement:
“Silent Killer was unfortunately unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. He was unable to answer basic immigration questions as his phone was off and he had forgotten his return date to Zimbabwe.”
The promoters expressed regret over the incident.
“We completely understand the disappointment this caused for his fans and share in your sentiments. Please know that we are actively working with Silent Killer to ensure he returns to the UK soon for a future performance.”
Earlier UK Tour Drama
This latest setback comes just months after the artist, real name Jimmy Mudereri, failed to board flights for the SAMA Festival in Leicester on 19 April 2025.
Promoter Fred Matenga of Y2K Promotions told reporters at the time:
“Silent Killer refused to board a UK-bound flight because he had a dream it would explode. He locked himself in the airport toilet.”
Silent Killer later denied the account, telling DJ Sparks in an interview that it was a fabricated story:
“I only go to the toilet once a week on Thursdays, and now they are saying I locked myself in the airport toilet. I’ve never even used an airport toilet.”
He insisted that his refusal to travel was due to non-payment, saying only US$600 (R11,300) of the agreed US$2,000 (R37,700) had been paid.
“Last year they paid me US$3,500 (R66,000). Now they want to give me US$2,000 and split that with other expenses. I perform locally for the same amount – why should I fly out and return with nothing?”
Lawsuit Over Missed Performance
The April fiasco escalated further when Y2K Entertainment filed a lawsuit in May 2025 demanding US$122,170 (R2.3 million) in damages for breach of contract, reputational harm, and costs linked to his failure to perform.
According to Zimcelebsblitz, Harare law firm DM Thombeni Legal Practitioners issued a letter of demand on 16 May 2025, instructing Silent Killer’s lawyers to pay within seven days or face court action.
The breakdown included advance payments, replacement artist fees, travel and accommodation expenses, and an estimated US$100,000 (R1.9 million) in reputational damage.
Despite the ongoing fallout, Silent Killer maintains he will not compromise. He told fans earlier this year:
“I used to accept these deals without payment. Not anymore. Jesus is my manager. From now on, people must deal with me directly.”
The latest immigration denial adds another layer to the artist’s troubled relationship with UK promoters.
