Six Killed in Horror Crash Along Harare–Bulawayo Road Near Redcliff Turn-Off
Six people were killed yesterday following a tragic road traffic accident along the Harare–Bulawayo Road near the Redcliff turn-off.
According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police, the fatal collision occurred at the 223-kilometre peg at around 5:45 PM.

Honda Fit Collides With Haulage Truck
Police said the accident involved a Honda Fit and a haulage truck.
“The ZRP reports a fatal road traffic collision at 223 kilometre peg along the Harare–Bulawayo road near Redcliff turn-off at 1745 hours this evening. Six people died when a Honda Fit and a Haulage Truck collided,” the police said in a statement.
The circumstances surrounding the crash were still being investigated by authorities last night.
Police Yet to Release Victims’ Identities
The identities of the deceased had not yet been released by the time of publication, pending notification of their next of kin.
Police said more details regarding the accident would be made available in due course as investigations continue.
Concerns Over Highway Accidents
The latest accident adds to the growing number of fatal crashes being recorded on Zimbabwe’s major highways, particularly along the busy Harare–Bulawayo Road.
Motorists have repeatedly been urged to exercise caution, observe speed limits and avoid reckless driving to reduce road carnage on the country’s roads.
