Wicknell Chivayo Gifts Bishop Nehemiah Mutendi US$450K Mercedes-Benz Maybach, Donates US$2 Million to ZCC Church
Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo has presented a luxury vehicle to Nehemiah Mutendi, leader of the Zion Christian Church (ZCC), as part of what he described as a gesture of appreciation for the bishop’s spiritual leadership and charitable work.
The vehicle, a 2026 Mercedes-Benz Maybach S680, is valued at approximately US$450,000.

Chivayo Honors Bishop Mutendi with Luxury Gift for Dedicated Service
In a lengthy post on his Facebook, Chivayo explained that although he is a long-standing member of another religious congregation, he believes in recognising religious leaders who dedicate their lives to serving communities.
Wicknell publicly celebrated the dedication and humility of Bishop Nehemiah Mutendi, describing him as a servant of God whose life has been committed to prayer and spiritual leadership. Chivayo highlighted the bishop’s transformative impact on many lives through his guidance and charitable work at the ZCC, praising his selflessness and consistent focus on uplifting others.
As a gesture of appreciation ahead of the ZCC Annual Easter Conference, Chivayo announced he would personally deliver a brand-new 2026 Mercedes-Benz Maybach S680, valued at US$450,000, to Bishop Mutendi, noting that this follows last year’s gift of a Maybach GLS600 and aims to support the continued work of God with comfort and distinction.

Additional Financial Support Pledged
Beyond the vehicle donation, Chivayo also pledged US$2 million towards the church’s charitable programmes for 2026.
The businessman indicated that the first US$1 million of the new pledge is already ready for disbursement, while the remaining US$1 million will be released later in the year.
He said the donations are meant to strengthen the church’s ongoing humanitarian work and community support initiatives.
“I am therefore pleased to announce that for 2026 I have now DOUBLED my previous donation, and I will HUMBLY donate a total amount of US$2 MILLION, which has already been approved by my PARENTS. The first US$1 MILLION is READY for disbursement immediately and awaits your further INSTRUCTIONS on how you want it. The second US$1 MILLION will be dispatched during the first week of JULY being the second half of the year to continue supporting the remarkable work being carried out by the ZCC,” he added.
Chivayo said he was impressed by how the church utilised previous contributions made in 2024 and 2025, each amounting to US$1 million.
