World Vision International is hiring a Safeguarding Integration Specialist

World Vision International (WVI), a global Christian humanitarian organization with over 75 years of dedicated service, is hiring a Safeguarding Integration Specialist to advance child protection standards across its Sponsorship programming. This key position supports WVI’s mission to help vulnerable children overcome poverty and thrive working in nearly 100 countries with a team of over 33,000 staff.

About the Role

Reporting to the Technical Director, Accountability, Knowledge Management & Communications, the Safeguarding Integration Specialist will drive the development, rollout, and monitoring of safeguarding standards to ensure children’s safety, strengthen accountability, and support continuous learning across World Vision’s Sponsorship program.

This position is open to candidates residing in countries where World Vision is legally registered, including Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Costa Rica, and South Africa.

Key Responsibilities

Safeguarding Standards: Lead the design, implementation, and refinement of safeguarding standards and tools, ensuring child protection is embedded in all sponsorship touchpoints.
Socialization & Communication: Develop user-friendly materials and engagement plans, including webinars, FAQs, and explainer content, to ensure awareness and understanding of safeguarding practices across global teams.
Capacity & Accountability Building: Deliver onboarding, training, and support to field and support office teams; monitor adoption and feedback to inform ongoing improvements.
Learning & Engagement: Build cross-functional partnerships to share best practices, foster a culture of learning, and integrate safeguarding into wider organizational practices.

What You Bring

A Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Child Rights, or related fields; or 7+ years of relevant field experience.
At least 7 years of experience in global roles, with strong expertise in safeguarding, child protection, and program accountability.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills across cultures and organizational levels.
Strong project management, training design, and e-learning development experience.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
Willingness to travel up to 20% internationally.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in instructional design and the use of online engagement tools.
Familiarity with World Vision’s Sponsorship model and safeguarding frameworks.
