WWE Legend Hulk Hogan Dead at 71: Cause of Death Revealed
WWE legend Hulk Hogan, born Terry Gene Bollea, has died. He was 71.
Hogan was the biggest professional wrestler of the 1980s and 1990s, and he went on to achieve massive crossover fame.
He debuted in 1977 and quickly became the defining figure of the industry, known for his charisma, signature moves, and “Hulkamania” catchphrase that became a pop culture staple.
Cause of Death Revealed
Hulk Hogan was found unresponsive at his Clearwater, Florida, home on the morning of Thursday, July 24, 2025.
According to TMZ, emergency responders were called to the scene following a reported cardiac arrest.
Paramedics and police were seen outside his residence, and he was transported by ambulance after being carried out on a stretcher.
Health Struggles in Recent Years
There had been growing speculation about Hogan’s health in recent months. In June, a representative told TMZ Sports that the wrestling legend had been dealing with some ailments but was “back to moving” after rumours suggested he was unwell.
In May, it was widely reported that Hogan underwent neck surgery. Earlier, he revealed in a 2024 interview with YouTuber and wrestler Logan Paul that he had endured a long list of medical procedures.
“I’ve had like 25 surgeries in the last 10 years. I’ve had 10 back surgeries, both knees and hips replaced, my shoulders, everything.There’s nothing original left,” Hogan said at the time.
