The dispute surrounding the abandoned Hardrock and Dynamos match has reached its conclusion.
The Premier Soccer League confirmed the development on Tuesday, 18 August 2026.
The ZIFA Appeals Committee rejected Hardrock’s challenge against the PSL Disciplinary Committee’s ruling.
The original disciplinary decision came on 30 June 2026.
The two teams had met at Chahwanda Stadium before the match ended prematurely.
Consequently, the incident triggered disciplinary proceedings to determine the fixture’s final outcome.
Hardrock later challenged the disciplinary ruling through the appropriate appeals process.
ZIFA Appeals Committee rejects Hardrock challenge
However, the appeals process has now ended after the committee dismissed Hardrock’s case.
The PSL said the committee considered every ground raised by Hardrock.
According to the league, the committee found the appeal lacked legal support and merit.
The PSL stated: “The PSL wishes to advise its stakeholders on the outcome determination made by the ZIFA Appeals Committee on Hardrock FC’s appeal against the decision of the Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee handed down on the 30th of June 2026 in the matter involving Hardrock FC and Dynamos FC.
“The ZIFA Appeals Committee released the appeal verdict on the 30th of July 2026, having dealt with every ground of Appeal, both as to conviction and, in the alternative, as to sentence, and having found that every single one of them is unsupported by the applicable legal principles and is without merit, dismissed the Appeal from Hardrock FC in its entirety.
Dynamos victory officially stands
The decision also settles the result attached to the disputed fixture.
As a result, the original scoreline remains officially recognised by the league.
The PSL confirmed that Dynamos’ 2-1 victory will now stand as the final result.
The league added: “Additionally, the resultant final score of the completed match between Hardrock FC (1) vs Dynamos FC (2) is upheld and shall stand as confirmed.”
Therefore, Hardrock’s appeal has failed, while Dynamos retain their 2-1 result.
The ruling finally brings an end to the lengthy dispute surrounding the Chahwanda Stadium fixture.
