ZRP Releases Emergency Hotline Numbers for Cities Across Zimbabwe

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has released a nationwide list of emergency hotline numbers for major towns and cities as part of efforts to improve rapid response to crimes and emergencies.

The contact numbers cover several urban centres including Harare, Bulawayo, Mutare, Gweru, Masvingo and Marondera.

Police Encourage Public to Report Emergencies

In a notice shared on its official X platform, the ZRP urged members of the public to make use of the emergency lines when reporting incidents requiring immediate police attention.

The police said the hotlines are intended to strengthen communication between citizens and law enforcement agencies while improving response times during emergencies.

Major Cities Included on Hotline List

According to the list released by the police, residents in Harare can contact emergency services using the numbers (0242) 748836, 777651 or 703631.

Bulawayo residents were advised to use (09) 885479, while people in Mutare can call (020) 64288.

Other listed contacts include Gweru on (054) 230837, Masvingo on (039) 262627 and Marondera on (0279) 20581.

Smaller Towns Also Covered

The hotline list also includes numbers for smaller towns and districts across the country.

Residents in Gwanda can use (0284) 20139, Hwange residents were given (0281) 30333, while Chinhoyi and Bindura residents can contact police through (067) 29047 and (0271) 6891 respectively.

The latest move comes as police continue encouraging communities to cooperate with law enforcement authorities in fighting crime and improving public safety nationwide.
