Zimbabwean Woman Arrested After Fatal Crash In Nottingham

A Zimbabwean woman living in the United Kingdom has been arrested and charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a motorcyclist died in a crash in Nottingham. The accident, which happened on 18 October 2025, claimed the life of a 21-year-old man.

The Fatal Collision

According to Nottinghamshire Police, emergency services were called just before 8.30 am on 18 October after reports of a collision involving several vehicles on Alfreton Road in Nottingham.

In a statement, police said:

“Emergency services were called following reports of the collision, which left a motorbike rider with serious injuries. The 21-year-old man was pronounced dead soon afterwards. His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.”

The crash led to the temporary closure of Bobbers Mill Bridge as multiple emergency service vehicles attended the scene.

Woman Arrested And Charged

Police confirmed that one of the drivers involved in the crash was arrested at the scene. The driver was later identified as 35-year-old Nomazwe Moyo, of Eltham Close, Broxtowe.

In their official update, Nottinghamshire Police stated:

“Nomazwe Moyo, of Eltham Close, Broxtowe, has since been charged with causing death by dangerous driving. The 35-year-old is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 20 October 2025.”

Court Appearance Pending

Moyo is expected to face charges at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court. The case is set to highlight the seriousness of dangerous driving offences in the UK.

Police added that investigations into the crash are ongoing and appealed for witnesses to come forward with any information or dashcam footage that may assist their inquiries.
