Organisers of the 2026 Zimbabwe International Trade Fair report strong demand. Exhibition space is almost fully booked.
Already, 97% of the 51,170 square metres has been taken. This signals high interest from businesses.
Moreover, the fair will run from 20 to 25 April 2026. It carries the theme “Connected Economies, Competitive Industries”.
High-Level Participation Confirmed
Botswana’s President, Duma Gideon Boko, will officially open the event. This highlights growing regional cooperation.
Meanwhile, ZITF chairman Busisa Moyo shared updates during a Thursday media briefing.
He confirmed that 485 direct exhibitors will participate. These include 100 leaseholders.
“The President of the Republic of Botswana will officiate at this year’s Zimbabwe International Trade Fair, reinforcing ZITF’s growing regional and diplomatic stature,” said Moyo.
Additionally, Moyo explained Botswana’s selection aligns with the fair’s theme. The countries share strong trade ties.
Zimbabwe imports goods like salt from Botswana. At the same time, Zimbabwean firms operate across the border.
Strong International Presence
Furthermore, the fair has attracted 46 international exhibitors from 29 countries.
These countries include Belarus, Belgium, China, Denmark, and Eswatini. Others include Ethiopia, France, Germany, and India.
Also participating are Indonesia, Italy, Ireland, Japan, and Kenya. Malawi, Malaysia, Mozambique, and Namibia are included.
The Netherlands, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Africa, and Sweden will attend. Tanzania, the UAE, the UK, and Zambia will also participate.
Overall, organisers say strong bookings show renewed confidence. Zimbabwe continues positioning itself as a regional business hub.
