International Star Power for the Grand Finale

Speaking to The Herald, organisers revealed that Tunzi’s participation underscores the growing influence of the Miss Universe Zimbabwe franchise on the international stage.

The former Miss Universe will serve as one of the event’s masters of ceremonies and is also expected to interact with contestants during a special meet-and-greet session.

Her presence adds immense value to this year’s event and reflects the growing stature of our pageant on the international stage,” organisers said.

Tunzi rose to global prominence in 2019 when she became the third South African woman to capture the Miss Universe crown. She earned widespread recognition for championing women’s empowerment, self-confidence and authenticity during her reign.

Her involvement in the Zimbabwean finale has attracted regional attention and heightened anticipation for the event.

Contestants Undergoing Intensive Preparation

Meanwhile, the 18 finalists remain in an intensive bootcamp at a confidential location as they prepare for the biggest night of their pageant journey.

The programme includes runway coaching, public speaking training, fitness sessions, media preparation and leadership development workshops aimed at equipping contestants with the skills needed to compete on the global stage.

Sources close to the competition say the atmosphere has been highly competitive, with contestants working tirelessly in pursuit of national honours and international opportunities.

Historic Expansion Creates More Opportunities

This year’s edition has drawn significant interest following a major restructuring of the franchise that will see five winners crowned instead of one.

The successful contestants will represent Zimbabwe at leading international competitions as Miss Universe Zimbabwe, Miss World Zimbabwe, Miss International Zimbabwe, Miss Supranational Zimbabwe and Miss Cosmo Zimbabwe.

Pageant observers have described the move as a landmark development for the local modelling industry, opening additional pathways for Zimbabwean talent to gain international exposure.

Expectations High for Saturday Showpiece

With preparations nearing completion, organisers have promised a world-class production featuring top-tier entertainment, celebrity appearances and spectacular stage presentations.

Industry insiders believe the combination of strong contestants, increased international attention and the presence of globally recognised figures such as Tunzi could make this year’s competition one of the most memorable and competitive editions in the history of the franchise.

As the countdown to Saturday’s grand finale continues, all eyes remain fixed on the finalists who will be hoping to secure a place among Zimbabwe’s next ambassadors on the global pageant stage.
