Sadney Urikhob Says Playing in Zimbabwe Has Been More Profitable Than South Africa
Namibian striker Sadney Urikhob says his time playing in Zimbabwe has been more financially rewarding than anything he earned in his home country or in South Africa.
The striker, who has spent the past two years with Dynamos and Scottland FC, says the professional setup and salaries in Zimbabwe have exceeded his expectations.

Financial Rewards in Zimbabwe
Urikhob revealed that his earnings in Zimbabwe have surpassed what he made in both Namibia and South Africa.
“The money I have earned here is more than 20 times what I ever earned in Namibia. It is the truth…What I have been getting here in Zimbabwe has been even slightly better than what I got at AmaZulu. So, I have been getting paid better here in Zim than I did in SA as well,” he said.
The striker added that while some questioned his decision to play in Zimbabwe, he has seen more Namibian players follow his path.
“You know what, even in Namibia, they were asking questions about why I came here, but now there are more Namibian players coming here after me. People can be so opinionated, but you can earn good money here.”
Attracting Top Talent
Scottland FC has become a powerhouse in Zimbabwean football, attracting well-known names such as Knowledge Musona, Khama Billiat, Walter Musona, Terrence Dzvukamanja, and former players like Peter Ndlovu.
Urikhob says the professional setup and financial backing make Zimbabwe a viable destination for African footballers seeking growth.
Looking Ahead
The striker confirmed he is negotiating his next career move, adding that Zimbabwe’s clubs offer both competitive football and financial stability.
“It’s not just about playing — it’s about finding the right opportunity for your future,” Urikhob said.
