Wicknell Chivayo Pledges Additional US$5 Million to ZCC, Donates 82 Vehicles, Gifts Rolls-Royce Cullinan to Bishop Mutendi
Businessman and philanthropist Wicknell Chivayo has pledged an additional US$5 million to the Zion Christian Church (ZCC) and donated 82 brand-new vehicles to church leaders and its media department following a visit to Bishop Nehemiah Mutendi in Defe, Gokwe.
The pledge comes on top of a previous US$2 million commitment made earlier this year, with Chivayo confirming that the remaining US$1 million balance has now been released for disbursement.
“Spiritually Enriching Experience” — Chivayo Praises ZCC Leader
Taking to Facebook after the visit, Chivayo described the meeting with Bishop Mutendi as deeply moving and spiritually uplifting.
He wrote:
“YesterDAY, me and my wife had a HUMBLING day when we had the great privilege of paying a COURTESY VISIT to my beloved father, His Grace Bishop Nehemiah Mutendi, at his rural home in Defe, Gokwe.”
He added:
“Every opportunity that we spent time with this GREAT MAN OF GOD has been profoundly satisfying and SPIRITUALLY ENRICHING. The depth of his spirituality, the inexplicable ANOINTING that rests upon him and the GRACE that follows him are beyond what words can adequately describe.”
Chivayo further said the reception he received reflected the values of the church, stating:
“From the moment we arrived, we were accorded a WARM RECEPTION and overwhelming hospitality, characteristic of the love and humility that define the ZCC family.”
Millions Pledged for Church Charity Work
Chivayo said he was inspired by the church’s humanitarian programmes, particularly its support for vulnerable communities.
He wrote: “I was deeply moved by the extent of the work being carried out through their church charity department to uplift vulnerable communities across the country.”
He added: “Through the SPIRIT-LED and visionary leadership of His Grace, countless orphans have found a father, many underprivileged children have found a HOME and many families have found HOPE where there was once despair.”
Chivayo further said: “It is impossible to witness these extraordinary works without acknowledging that God has indeed entrusted a special assignment to this humble servant.”
US$5 Million Donation and Luxury Fleet for Church Leaders
Chivayo confirmed that the financial support to ZCC has now been significantly increased.
He stated:
“Having spent such a spiritually gratifying day with His Grace, I was pleased to advise him that, further to the US$2 million pledge I made to the church at the beginning of the year, the remaining US$1 million is now ready for disbursement.”
He added:
“Furthermore, having personally witnessed the tremendous impact of the church’s humanitarian initiatives, I felt compelled to increase this figure to US$5 million to further recognise a man whom I regard not only as a spiritual leader but also as my beloved father.”
77 Leaders Get Hiluxes, Media Team Also Beneficiaries
Chivayo also announced a major vehicle donation package.
He said:
“After this wonderful day with His Grace it therefore gives me immense pleasure to also extend my heartfelt congratulations to these seventy seven dedicated servants of God and leaders within the ZCC family.”
He confirmed:
“Each of them will receive a brand-new Toyota Hilux 2.8 Single Cab valued at US$44,000, as well as five other vehicles to be given to the ZCC media team, making it 82 vehicles which will all be delivered before the end of the month without fail.”
Rolls-Royce Cullinan Gift Confirmed
Chivayo also revealed plans to gift Bishop Mutendi a luxury vehicle.
He wrote:
“I also had the pleasure to present to His Grace my intention to purchase him a brand new 2026 Rolls-Royce Cullinan facelift valued at US$1.2 million.”
He added:
“His Grace initially declined the offer citing that the car was too expensive for a humble man like him, suggesting that I should rather redirect the same cost and buy 77 vehicles for the church.”
However, Chivayo said he insisted on the gesture:
“Out of my stubborn love and deep admiration that I have for His Grace I was happy I still managed to convince him on the Rolls-Royce… I am therefore pleased and deeply humbled that he accepted the all new 2026 Rolls-Royce Cullinan, which will be custom-made to his bespoke specifications.”
