Former Bafana Bafana midfielder Reneilwe “Yeye” Letsolonyane could be set for a new coaching chapter in Zimbabwe. Reports have linked him with a position at FC Platinum after he was seen in Zvishavane.
The 43-year-old is reportedly being considered for an assistant coaching role. However, FC Platinum have not officially confirmed the appointment.
Letsolonyane tipped for FC Platinum role
The speculation follows FC Platinum’s recent coaching changes. The club appointed South African tactician Thabo Senong as head coach after Joel Luphahla’s departure.
Letsolonyane’s arrival would strengthen Senong’s technical department. Moreover, it would reunite two respected South African football figures.
The former midfielder recently parted ways with Botswana Premier League outfit Matebele FC. He had served as the club’s head coach before leaving.
Former Bafana Bafana star brings vast experience
Letsolonyane built an impressive reputation during his playing days. He won more than 50 caps for Bafana Bafana throughout his international career.
Additionally, he represented South African giants Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United with distinction. His leadership and experience made him one of the country’s most respected midfielders.
If FC Platinum complete the move, Letsolonyane will begin his first coaching assignment in Zimbabwe. The appointment would also add significant experience to the club’s technical bench.
