Kaizer Chiefs icon Reneilwe ‘Yeye’ Letsholonyane is reportedly closing in on his next coaching opportunity. The former Bafana Bafana midfielder is set to take charge of Botswana giants Mochudi Centre Chiefs.
Letsholonyane recently left Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League giants FC Platinum. He had worked as assistant coach under Thabo Senong at the Zimbabwean club.
However, his departure has now opened the door to a fresh challenge across the border.
Yeye emerges as Mochudi Centre Chiefs favourite
Mochudi Centre Chiefs recently parted ways with head coach Miguel Corral Torreira. Consequently, the Botswana club began searching for a new coach to lead the team. Letsholonyane quickly emerged as a leading candidate for the vacant position. His previous coaching experience in Botswana has also strengthened his credentials. The former Kaizer Chiefs star previously managed Matebele FC in the Botswana Premier League.
Importantly, he helped the club avoid relegation during the previous season. His work at Matebele earned recognition when he received a nomination for Coach of the Season. Now, Letsholonyane could return to Botswana for another coaching assignment.
Kaizer Chiefs legend prepares for another challenge
The move would give Letsholonyane another opportunity to establish himself as a head coach. He previously built valuable experience while working with Matebele.
Furthermore, his time at FC Platinum exposed him to another competitive football environment. His next challenge could now come with one of Botswana’s biggest clubs.

Letsholonyane enjoyed a decorated playing career with Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana. He has since turned his attention towards developing his coaching career.
A move to Mochudi Centre Chiefs would therefore represent another significant step in that journey.
