The Meteorological Services Department has issued its daily weather update for Zimbabwe, detailing varied conditions across different provinces this Saturday. The official X page of the department shared the  daily weather forecast and the last update was on the 2nd of May 2025.

Northern and Central Regions Weather Pattern

Residents in the Harare Metropolitan area, northern Manicaland, Matabeleland North, northern Midlands, and all Mashonaland provinces can expect:

  • Cool morning temperatures are to warm up gradually by afternoon
  • Partly cloudy skies with possible isolated thunderstorms
  • Occasional gusty winds throughout the day

Authorities caution citizens to take shelter immediately during electrical storms and monitor changing conditions.

Southern Regions Weather Conditions

The forecast for Matabeleland South, Bulawayo Metropolitan, southern Midlands, southern Manicaland, and Masvingo indicates:

  • Predominantly overcast skies with cool temperatures
  • Brisk winds with scattered rain and drizzle
  • Chilly morning conditions require extra warmth

Zimbabweans are warned that vulnerable groups, including infants, seniors, and individuals with health conditions, should take special precautions against the cold that will hit the country, especially in the morning.
