The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has officially released the payment dates for social grants for the month of June 2025, providing millions of South Africans with clarity on when to expect their funds.

Payment Dates Set for Early June
SASSA confirmed that payments will begin on Monday, 3 June 2025, and will follow the usual staggered approach:
- Older Persons Grant: Tuesday, 3 June 2025
- Disability Grant: Wednesday, 4 June 2025
- Children’s and All Other Grants: Thursday, 5 June 2025

Grant beneficiaries can choose to receive their payments directly into their personal bank accounts or via their SASSA card.
Additionally, funds can be collected in cash at any approved pay point nationwide.
Safety Reminder from SASSA
SASSA has issued a safety advisory, urging recipients not to withdraw their entire grant at once, citing the importance of personal security.
This precaution is aimed at reducing the risk of theft or fraud, especially around busy payout periods.

Meanwhile, SASSA has also cautioned beneficiaries about circulating fake news regarding grant payments.
