Wicknell Chivayo Gives Kapfupi Another Car and Throws in US$3K After Accident

Controversial businessman Wicknell Chivayo has gifted veteran comedian Freddy “Kapfupi” Manjalima a brand-new car, again. This comes after Kapfupi lost the first vehicle Chivayo gave him in a car accident back in December 2024.

Kapfupi recently reached out to Chivayo, asking for another car to replace the one he crashed. The plea, made through a heartfelt message, didn’t go unheard. On Sunday, 1 June 2025, Chivayo confirmed via Facebook that he had seen Kapfupi’s message and appreciated the way he humbly asked for help.

Chivayo said that although some people laughed at Kapfupi’s situation, he saw nothing wrong with the request.

“Wadiwa Mwanangu Kapfupi Ndinotenda tsamba yako ndakaiona uye nekuitambira murudo rwa Mwari. Chokwadi mwana asinga cheme anodira mumbereko hauna pawakanganisa asi waedza kuisa chikumbiro chako waka zvininipisa. Vamwe vakutuka vamwe vaku seka asi zvokwadi kune mhepo ye madzinza isingade kuona chakanaka chichiuya muhupenyu hwedu,” he wrote.

Chivayo then instructed Kapfupi to visit Madzibaba Chipaga to collect another Toyota Aqua, just like the first one. But he didn’t stop there.

Chivayo Gifts Kapfupi US$3K and Instructs Him How to Use It

The flashy benefactor also promised US$3,000 — US$2,000 for Kapfupi’s personal use, and US$1,000 for car insurance. Chivayo explained that the money for insurance should go towards a comprehensive cover, so that if Kapfupi gets into another accident, he won’t lose the car again.

He added that Kapfupi would first receive paperwork for the car in his name, and then, after paying for insurance and collecting a cover note, he could return to Madzibaba Chipaga and drive away in his new ride.
