‘Arrest Malloti’ – Wicknell Chivayo’s Ally Demands Action After Viral Video
Controversial socialite and aspiring musician Malloti is facing mounting public backlash after a video surfaced online allegedly showing her drinking BronCleer syrup, commonly known as “Bronco”, during the launch of her new podcast.
In the now-viral video, Malloti is seen introducing her podcast in a profanity-laced clip, then appearing to gulp from a bottle that many believe contained Bronco, a cough syrup widely abused as a recreational drug in Zimbabwe. The bottle’s contents, however, were not confirmed.
Wicknell Chivayo’s Ally Demands Arrest of Malloti
One of the most vocal critics has been social media personality C.H. Mukungunugwa, known for his ties to businessman Wicknell Chivayo. Mukungunugwa slammed Malloti’s behaviour, saying it sends the wrong message to young people at a time when Zimbabwe is battling a widespread drug abuse crisis.
He accused her of glamorising drug use and questioned why the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) had not yet taken action.

Drug abuse is NOT content; it’s a scourge destroying our youth’s future. Divided Opinions on Social Media
The video has sparked a heated debate online. Many users echoed Mukungunugwa’s sentiments, saying Malloti had gone too far and should be held accountable. Others were more sceptical, saying the situation reflects a deeper societal issue, where drug use has become so common that people are desensitised. There were also legal concerns, with some suggesting it would be difficult to prove in court that Malloti was drinking Bronco, as the bottle wasn’t labelled clearly.
