Equatorial Guinea’s Balthazar Engonga Ebang Jailed For 18 Years
Balthazar Engonga Ebang, who made headlines in late 2024 for viral videos showing him with multiple women, has now found himself in serious legal trouble. Reports say he was sentenced to 18 years in prison for financial misconduct involving a state-owned company under the Ministry of Finance.
Trial and Charges
The trial, which kicked off on Monday, 30 June 2025, lasted just three days and included several other public officials. Prosecutors pushed for a hefty sentence, detailing charges that included embezzlement, illicit enrichment, and abuse of power. Specifically, they asked for 8 years for embezzlement, over 4 years for illicit enrichment, and just over 6 years for abuse of power. Additionally, Balthazar was fined nearly one billion CFA francs and banned from holding public office during his sentence. His defence team, however, denied all the charges.

18 years for being a “legend”? Guess Balthazar’s next hit single will be dropping from behind bars I hope the prison Wi-Fi can handle the streams!
@Hackerslord_24:
me looking at those thinking it’s because of his passion for knacking ladies meanwhile it’s for embezzlement of funds
@mirexmoses:
Man’s still dripping even on his prison wear, see his sneakers omo
@eneowokene:
What exactly is this man’s crime, asides being with multiple women which isn’t a crime.
@Woobaby24kk:
And now bro will have to beat his meat with all his scenes living rent free in his head, well it could last that long, still a win-win
