Lock brothers win ATP Challenger Tour title in France

Zimbabwe’s tennis siblings Benjamin and Courtney Lock claimed their first ATP Challenger Tour doubles title together following their victory at the 2024 Internationaux de Tennis de Blois in France on Saturday.

The star pair dug deep to secure a hard-fought 1-6, 6-3 [10-4] win over the French pair of Corentin Denolly of Arthur Gea in the final of the clay-court event in Blois.

It was a memorable win for the Lock brothers, who were cheered on by their mom, who was part of the crowd which watched the final at the A.A.J.Blois Tennis Club.

The Lock brothers have been in very good form on the pro circuit.

Last month they celebrated a memorable double on the ITF Men’s World Tennis Tour after winning both the singles and doubles title in Ethiopia.

For Benjamin, Saturday’s win was his second on the ATP Challenger Tour this season after teaming up with Yuta Shimizu from Japan to lift the Burnie International doubles title in Tasmania, Australia in February.
