A heartbroken Kuwadzana family, shattered by an unimaginable loss, has made the desperate decision to relocate their home, unable to bear the constant, painful reminder of the tragedy that stole their children. The Muzanago family lost their two young children, Anopaishe and Anenyasha, after the youngsters went missing and were discovered days later in the most harrowing of circumstances. The vehicle in which their bodies were found remains parked near their home, a silent, torturous monument to their grief.
The children’s father, Anymore Muzanago, described the daily agony of living amidst such painful memories. He revealed that the family’s healing process cannot begin while the car is still there.
“We are still grappling with the reality of our children’s deaths,” Muzanago confessed, his voice heavy with sorrow. “Seeing the vehicle involved and also just passing through the site of the tragedy is too painful. The owner of the vehicle is yet to remove it, making it impossible for us to heal.”

This unyielding visual trigger has forced the family to seek a new place to live, hoping distance will bring some small measure of peace.
A Waiting Game: Questions Over Promised Financial Support
Amidst their mourning, the family faces further distress over the financial aid reportedly gathered for them by the community. Muzanago expressed confusion and concern, stating that they have not received any of the monetary donations that made headlines.
“No cash has been handed to us,” he stated plainly. “In our shock and mourning, we weren’t able to keep track of the donations. We haven’t received any money that was supposedly donated to us. If anyone has given money to our relatives or friends, we are still waiting to see that support.”
This lack of clarity adds another layer of anxiety to their profound loss, leaving them feeling isolated in their time of need.
Community Support and the Path Forward
Despite the uncertainty over the funds, the family has acknowledged the kindness shown through other means. Muzanago expressed gratitude for the practical support they have received.
“We are thankful for the groceries provided by individuals and organisations,” he said, mentioning the Nyaradzo Funeral Group specifically.
In response to the questions about the financial collections, local philanthropist Betty Kaseke provided some clarification. She confirmed that she has been gathering contributions intended for the grieving family.

“I am waiting for them to come back to their home in Kuwadzana Extension,” Kaseke explained.
The handover is pending the family’s return from their rural village, where they have laid their children to rest. As the community waits for answers, a pathologist’s report is expected to provide further details on the children’s tragic demise, with initial investigations pointing away from foul play.
